Ace the MMI Stations that Most Applicants Fail
10th November 6pm - Online
Join our free workshop where we will tackle three of the most challenging MMI stations.
You’ll watch each station performed live by current medical students, along with guidance on clear, practical structures you can use in your real interviews.
1. Ethics - A 15-year-old refuses a vaccine. His parents demand that he receives the vaccine. What do you do?
Ethics stations are a common pitfall for applicants. Either because they rush to a one-sided verdict, or just lack the knowledge needed to answer ethics questions. This station will teach you how to apply Gillick competence and utilise all four ethical pillars to create the model answer.
2. Roleplay - You have been tasked with explaining to a patient that their surgery has been postponed. How would you go about this?
Emotional roleplay stations - where scripted answers are no good. You'll learn how to open the conversation, deliver difficult news with sensitivity, respond to a distressed patient, and show genuine empathy without rushing to fix things. You’ll see what examiners really look for, and how to sound natural rather than rehearsed.
3. Data Interpretation - Graph Analysis
Time pressure and unfamiliar graphs derail many candidates. We will teach you a clear structure for graph analysis, meaning you can provide a comprehensive assessment of the data and add thoughtful reasoning to explain it. Practice is the key with data interpretation, but you need to know where to start. This station demonstration will give you just that.
This is a golden opportunity and not one to miss. The workshop will be run by current medical students who have a year's experience in medicine interview tutoring. You’ll leave knowing not just what a strong answer looks like, but how to build one under pressure. Spaces are limited, so sign up today to ace your medical school interviews.
